We are very proud to be part of Paxton house!

Paxton is going to try to win again by doing well in more house events and not just let it coming down to sports day- but we will win sports day again!

If any one is good at sports out side of school they will bring in their trophies.

We are going to make more of an effort to try to take part in things that are not sporty and try to donate more to charity through events such as the shoebox appeal.

We are looking forward to the assault course BRING IT ON!!!!!!!

Hello Paxton!!

We just wanted to say an absolutely MASSIVE thank you for all your hard work over the last year you have all been amazing!!!!

We knew you were going to win from the moment we had our first assembly with you all, you were all so driven to win and had such a motivated attitude right from the word go!

We hope that you continue to have the same attitude every year until you leave Wildern!!

Just before we say goodbye - we want to wish Matt and Hannah the best of luck in your new role, you will be amazing at whatever Mr Pike throws at you! Remember to teach your new vices whatever you learn so that Paxton can be even more amazing year on year!!! Thank You for all your hard work this last year you have been fantastic!

Hello Paxton :D

what a fabulous year we have had so far. we need to keep pushing  and working hard so we can achieve are potential at the top ! Where Paxton belongs. Not long left now sports day could be the decision maker. where it all changes, whether we are winners or runners up .

Lets make are past house captains proud Ben and Genevieve. I would also like to say a big Thank you to them  for all there effort towards are house and both me and Mathew hope we can lead this house to achieving just like they have done so brilliantly.

Both me and Mathew have now taken on the roles of house captain and we hope to be the best house captains we can be for you !

 Its not important who started this championship at the front its who finishes it at the front!

We are definitely the Eco House with 680 points for all the rubbish collecting and battery recycling. The amount of batteries was so impressive.

Dear All Paxtoners,

I have just walked past the battery collection boxes and added the batteries from the array of toys my children have. The Paxton box already has the most in so I know we can win this and as a Gold event, we could really do with the points!

You will also see the bins with the different signs on. Why not make sure that all of your rubbish goes in the correct bin and if you see more rubbish pick that up too! Its a win, win situation as we will win the points for Paxton as well as making Wildern a lovely place to be.

So make us all proud over the Eco fortnight and get involved!

ECO Fortnight 22nd April – 3rd May

During this fortnight there are many chances to win house points through ECO themed competitions. The following competitions are:

Battery Collection- During the two weeks of the ECO fortnight each tutor group will be able to collect old batteries for their house. The batteries will be placed in your house collection box which will be in the Dart. The house with the most batteries at the end of ECO fortnight will win 400 house points.

Litter Challenge- In the Piazza the bins will be coloured to correspond with the houses. At the end of each day the amount of rubbish collected by each house will be judged and the house that has collected the most rubbish will win 400 house points.

As well as all this we are running SWITCH IT OFF fortnight.

This is where members of the ECO committee will go around classes during breaktimes and lunchtimes checking for lights, projectors etc that have been left on. This is important as the more we switch off the more energy we save! Did you know Wildern creates 60 Tonnes worth of CO₂ each year!

Mrs Floyd's Easter message!

So Paxtoners, we have slipped a bit. Its only a small amount and I know we can get back up there with a big push! The big push can come from positive erefs to make sure our score keeps building. We also have some key events taking place next term, especially during the Eco Fortnight that starts on Monday 22nd April 2013. Keep an eye out for how you can get involved.
